If you’ve been reading Whiteout these past few years, you already know that we can’t get enough Max Buri. But now, thanks to his first season filming with Absinthe, the rest of the world is finally getting to know one of the future champions of Swiss style. As a new season approaches we thought this would be a good opportunity to check in and get his thoughts on his Eversince experience.
Hey buddy, how’d your first winter shooting with the Absinthe guys go?
It was pretty insane! I got a real insight how heavy snowboardin’ goes down. I’m feelin’ real blessed to be here too.
How was it different from some of the other projects you’ve worked on?
Not much different, ya know.. it’s cool Vlady (cinematographer, David Vladyka) lets me do my thing! Probably the biggest difference though, was meeting tons of new people and going to all of those secret spots.
Secret, huh? Come on… Where did you go to find all of that powder?
Mostly just travellin’ around Switzerland, Italy and Austria.

Hell yeah! It’s so important to have days like that too. Great snowboarding doesn’t always have to be complicated…. But I guess filming can be quite a hustle too. What was your worst trip of the season?
As long as you keep the herb rolled up, there’s never a bad trip.
Haha… So you just float above the stress?? Anyway, you got to ride with some legends this season. Did anyone in particular really impress you?
Dude, that’s a hard one because everyone’s gnarly! But I gotta say how Keegan shreds impressed me the most. Just so raw and steezin’ like a true pimp.
Pimpin’ aint easy…. What’s the most important thing you learned from spending a whole season with all of those pros?
Nothing much, maybe a drinkin’ game or two.
Speaking of drinking, how did the premiere tour go? Any funny stories to share?
It went fabulous, but after the 9th night of partying I got sick dude! We were in Budapest and I just had to go back to the bus after the premiere to chill out. I took Perly’s one way grill and bratwursts cuz I was gettin’ kinda hungry and Vlady suddenly shows up and got sooooo pissed off because I took Perly’s grill! He turns into a grizzly when he drinks dude, but I made bratwursts for everyone at least…
….hope ya got one Vlad! If not, you missed out man.
